GROHE 32999SD0 Alira Low Profile Centerset Pullout Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel Review

Bought this online and saved $400 over the MSRP! Wonderful faucet. The handle is very smooth to operate: no catching or hesitation. This is due to the patent on "silk glide" technology. Two buttons on top of the "arm" allow for aeration flow and spray, without having to turn the water off first (like the Moen faucet this replaced). Ceramic discs allow for better control of water temperature. The hose is metal, not plastic, so there is some scraping noise whenever the spray head is taken out of its seat for spraying. The spray head clicks into the arm, so there is no dangling spray head. This is a German manufacturer, and the installation instructions left much to be desired. Installed in a granite countertop. Although the countertop depth met the manufacturer specifications, we found the plastic cream-colored collar which fits under the countertop and holds all the pipes and hose to be too thick for the installation (the water hose clicks into place on the piping, like an outdoor hose connector--with the collar at its full depth, the connector cannot make the solid click-in connection). We had to hacksaw off about 1/3 the depth of the collar in order to allow the connector to sit fully so there would be no leaking. After a week with no faucet (waiting for it to arrive), 3 trips to Sears for the proper size of socket for the wrench, and one trip to the hardware store for the proper compression connections for the water pipes, this finally was installed and works beautifully.

Price Pfister T529-DCC Treviso 4-hole Kitchen Pull-down Faucet with Matching Soap Dispenser Review

Recently we remodeled the kitchen. While the home wreckers were doing their job, Amazon put this faucet and matching soap dispenser in a Gold Box sale. For the past few weeks I had been looking at a LOT of faucets. What a bewildering selection is available! But I had a good idea what I wanted and when I saw this one in my Gold Box for 1/3 the retail price, I couldn't click fast enough. Besides, I figured if I didn't like its looks I could always return it. It arrived in good condition and just when the remodelers were ready for it. Also, my contractor (who has been in the remodeling business for over 20 years) said it was one of the best faucets he had seen. He bought one for his house.
It has been installed in my new kitchen for over a month now and I have zero complaints or problems. It adds greatly to the overall style and look of the kitchen and, as the other reviewer has said, it makes doing the dishes fun.
I had a separate sprayer attached to a sink in my last house and I disliked it. A lot. It made a mess of wash up, and seemed to spray more outside the sink than into it. Not so with this faucet: the spray is controllable and adjustable.
Highly recommended.

These handles are of great quality; they are thick, the metal is smooth, and they have a beautiful sheen.Since our home's cabinets did not have handles, we had to drill holes.If you're in a similar situation, both Lowe's and Home Depot sell templates for both cabinet doors and drawers that make placing the handles simple.Be aware that the Amazon price on these may be higher than you would pay through Lowe's special order (they're available at our Lowe's in the kitchen cabinet/appliances department, not with the rest of the cabinet knobs).At any rate, I highly recommend these handles.They have really impressed our guests, who seem to enjoy their whimsical nature.

GROHE 33 758 IB0 Ladylux Cafe Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Faucet, Chrome/Soft Black Review

I really like the Grohe faucet for a couple of reasons:
1) the black head of the faucet is more durable than chrome
2) the pull out sprayer operates by pushing a button on the head of the sprayer but does not stay on continuously. I hope this helps with the durability of the sprayer.

This faucet is beautiful and I wouldn't describe it as "country" at all.Granted, it's not a 90degree right angle modern faucet, but we have it in a modern/contemporary/eclectic kitchen and it fits in perfectly.We actually have this one and the larger kitchen sink one.The only draw back to the bar/prep sink model is that it does NOT have a switch on the side to change the stream to spray, like the kitchen one does, otherwise this would be a "5". I would give the kitchen sink model a 5 star rating.The magnetic holding system for the pull out sprayer works exceptionally well.We noticed in the big box stores that many were hanging down and noted that as a weakness, which delta has addressed.The finish on the stainless steel one is beautiful and overall this faucet feels like a quality piece of equipment, unlike some of the more expensive ones at the big box store, which have plastic feeling/cheap pull down sprayers.you can probably find this cheaper on other websites, which we did.

Delta Faucet 470-BL Signature Single-Handle Kitchen Pull-Out Faucet, Black Review

I bought and installed this very handsome faucet just this week. I am very impressed with the style and functionality, however I do want to point out an installation issue that I had even following the instructions to a T.

The directions have you install a central "M" shaped plate, stating to insure you install it as far back as possible. Then they have you try and feed the pullout hose through the neck and through this "M" shaped washer, even with this washer installed as far back as it would go the hose would not feed through the washer. I found that feeding the hose through this washer while it is loose was the preferred method. I did however have my 12 year old pulling the faucet back (on the outside of my island) while I fed the hose, went right through.

Another note for people like me who have not installed a faucet in a decade or so is that I ended up having to replace my 3/8" flexible copper feed lines with 3/8" to ½" braided steel lines to mate with the new faucets ½" male connections. I understand the ½" male connections are now the standard, it just so happens the faucet I was replacing was 14 or 15 years old (by the way another Delta).

Taking all of this into consideration I would buy the same faucet again and recommend it to all.

Pull Stroke Handsaw Review

I like this saw very much. It cuts like a power saw. Very fast for a hand tool. Compared to other Japanese sawshowever, it is a bit lacking. I don't like the angled handle. It makes many cuts impossible since it gets in the way. I very much prefer the straight handle saws from skark and other comanies. Still , compared to a stanley or other regular saw it cuts very well indeed .

Laurey 79439 Georgetown 3-Inch Pull, Satin Chrome Review

These are not actually handles. These are actually meant to be decorative only and to install them, you insert them into pre-drilled holes. They would go where there is a fake drawer, like where the sink is, for example. The original photo shows the front of them and they are pretty and shiny. But when I went to install them, I realized that they are meant to used as decoration. If you want to use them as handles on a drawer, the screws supplied are too short and you will have to find longer ones. This should really be 1 star because they are not pulls or handles. I was able to find some nice handles elsewhere for close to the same price. That being said, the service was good and and I think it is an honest mistake because when you first look at them, they do look like handles.

When we moved to a new (old) house a year ago, the kitchen faucet wasn't working properly and we needed to replace it. You don't expect to buy a new faucet very often so we made sure to get one that we'd love. And this is, to me, the perfect kitchen faucet.

What's so great about it, you wonder? It has so many great features:

* The lever moves smoothly and gives great one-handed control of volume and temperature; would be good for people with arthritic hands.
* Some lever-type faucets are fussy about the off position, but this one is reliably drip-free.
* The spout is angled up so it's easy to put a kettle or pot under it.
* The entire spout pulls out on a long flexible hose so you can reach the corners of the sink, fill a bucket on the floor, or have a killer water fight.
* When you are finished with the hose, the spout slides back in very easily.
* A tap of the flexible spot on the tip turns it into a sprayer; this works whether the the spout is seated or pulled out.
* Once the spray is turned on, it continues hands-free until you turn the water off.

Those design features and the great chrome finish -- form and function, a great package. Moen's a good reliable brand so I expect to enjoy this faucet for many years to come.

I know it's just a kitchen faucet but think about how many times a day you use it and get one you really love. I did!

This is a beautiful faucet and very user-friendly.I paired it with a Blanco stainless steel sink - they work well together.The only slightly negative aspect is that with the faucet on full, some water hits the sink and ends up on the counter near the sink.This may be operator error, as we are still getting used to the sink and the faucet.This seems to happen the most when using the smaller sink bowl.Otherwise the faucet works very nicely.

IRWIN 213102 Extra Fine Pull Saw Review

Boy, i have used a lot of different saws in my time. This is one of the best deals on the planet. The handle is great because it feels comfortable to pull through the cut, more comfortable than my traditional Dozuki straight handles. It cuts straight and smooth. The weight of the faucet shuts the water off. You have to have it fully extended full blast or nothing. If you want to just turn the water on lightly, no luck with this faucet - the faucet handle will just slowly descend from it's own weight until your water shuts off. From a review I read elsewhere, apparently Price Pfister knows about this problem but is still selling this borderline useless product. Amazing.

Price Pfister F5297MDS Mystique Single Control Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, Stainless Steel Review

It seems like every part that could break on this faucet has. The pull out faucet head will no longer stay attached to the rest of the faucet. The plastic connector ring quickly wears away. This is the 2nd we've gone through in 8 months.
The buttons to switch from spray and flow water quit working months ago. Its the most aggravating thing!
The soap pump also broke months ago and soap started oozing from it all the time. We've since replaced all components and the problem persists.

The only good thing is the customer service is really nice and easy to get replacement parts, but it's just a shoddy product. Never buying a Price Pfister product again.

Danze D456720RB Anu Single-Handle Kitchen Faucet with Pull-Out Spout, Oil Rubbed Bronze Review

First on the finish, the picture makes it look dark brown and semi close to black. It's actually redish brown and very light in some places. Second the finish isn't uniform, some areas are lighter than others.

Finally, the copper tubes that come out and are meant to be hooked up to the water lines are really really really soft and fragile. They come with a "Don't bend these!" warning label. Yeah so guess what? I bent one when trying as hard as I could to NOT bend them as I was screwing the water connection hoses on. No I didn't overtorque it and twist the whole pipe, all I did was hit one of the tubes with the wrench as I was just starting to screw the tube on. It deformed instantly.

Now this is totally my fault and I should have been even more careful. Except you see I took the wrench and then purposely beat the old faucet's copper tubes to see if I could dent those. I couldn't. The tubes on the old Moen faucet were much thicker copper and I couldn't bend them or deform them at all.

Grohe 32 298 DC0 Ladylux Café Main Sink Dual Spray Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet, SuperSteel Review

I bought this faucet because it looked stylish and came with the well respected Grohe name.

The stainless steel finish on the product is quite nice and the plastic pull-handle matches perfectly (almost no faucets I know of have metal pull-handles).

Installation was surprisingly easy.It required only a wrench or two to tighten water couplings and the included tool to tighten the base to the counter top.

The faucet has an impressive look and it definitely "upgraded" the appearance of our kitchen sink.

There are negatives.And given the number of other stylish faucets out there, the negatives cause me to give this faucet a 2 star rating.

First for the negatives, the spring-loaded pull handle hose is very difficult to pull out of the faucet base and actually use.Likewise, it does not feed smoothly back into the handle.I ended up removing the confounded spring and installing a large metal clamp weight onto the hose.This helped a great deal.

Second, the pull handle doesn't easily slide the last inch back into the base but instead has to be pushed into the base.

Third, the "spray" function on the pull handle is not a locking spray function.So long as you hold down the plastic button, the water will come out in a spray pattern.But as soon as you let go of the button, it goes back to a normal aerated stream.I much prefer pull handles with a locking spray such as the one on my old Hamat.

Fourth, because the sink head sprays water at a direct perpendicular to the sink base, water splatters up very high and all over the counter and faucet base itself.My old Hamat had about a 15 degree angle and thus the water splatter was able to stay contained within the sink.This means the base of my faucet is always covered with water spots unless I wipe it down after every use.

Fifth, the location of the faucet lever on the right side of the product is not nearly as convenient as the less stylish placement on top of a faucet.You can only easily reach it with your right hand and if the faucet is pointed to the right, it impedes your access to the handle.

In this case, style wins over function and we're keeping this faucet. But I think there are better choices in this price range.

Rev-A-Shelf 4WCTM-1550DM-1 Single 50 Quart Pull-Out Waste Container for Full Height Cabinet with 12" Review

This is a great product. Very sturdy in construction, and good quality full extension sliding rails. When the unit is fully extended there is very little wobble and nothing feels loose or shaky.
Installation took about an hour and is fairly easy for any reasonably competent DIY'er. It fit perfectly into our 15" cabinet.
Highly recommend.
