Genesis Luxury Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Faucet Finish: Stainless Steel Review

Not much more than a year after installation, this faucet started leaking under the sink, not from the hose. I called a plumber and he said it can't be repaired. I called Price Pfister (1-800-pfaucet) and without questions, they are sending me a replacement. That made me suspicious, so I started looking around at reviews of their products. I see that other Price Pfister faucets are defective. This was an expensive purchase: expensive faucet + installation + expedited shipping for replacement (the kitchen is useless with the water off) + plumber's inspection + new installation.

Bucket Boss Brand 25002 Chutes Parts Bag Review

I have several of these for holding screws and other hardware. One is just for drywall screws of different lengths (which I wrote on the outside of the bag). I can put 10-20 pounds of screws in the bag, and it still fits into a 5 gallon bucket. I can do the same with a bag of outdoor (coated) screws, and another for pneumatic nails, brads and staples, and a final bag for nails.

When I go to a job, I just put the bucket in the back of the truck and I know I have all the hardware I'll likely need. When I'm in the shop, I just keep the bag on my desk/bench.

The only negative is that the nylon is a little thin, and I don't think they'll last as long as if it were canvas or a thicker nylon.

Pull Out Hose For Kitchen Review

This is the third of these we have gone through in recent months. The first leaked after a couple months' use, the second was actually destroyed by the Danco spray head we put on it (the spray head broke, leaving the threaded portion in the hose coupling), and the third shed its stainless steel protective wrap after a month, leaving the soft, vulnerable rubber (and probably cheap) hosing exposed. We will be buying a new faucet now, rather than try to patchwork our existing faucet with any more Danco products.

Save yourself the time and money, buy something that works. Though they will replace the parts again and again, who wants to spend that much time under their sink fixing Danco's shoddy plumbing supplies?

IRWIN 213104 Dovetail Pull Saw Review

Very useful little saw. Cuts very quickly and cleanly. While I haven't used it to cut dovetails yet, I find it VERY useful for flush cutting dowel plugs and the like. The teeth don't have any set (they feature an alternate bevel), and the blade is very flexible, so it's easy to make flush cuts without damaging the adjacent surface.

My only minor criticism is the location of the blade release button. Unless I'm careful, I occasionally have a tendency to accidentally push the release with my thumb while sawing. I have learned to avoid this mistake most of the time. Others may grip the handle differently, so this may not be an issue for you.

I notice that another reviewer has had problems with this saw bending.This could be the result of two factors;

1: It IS a very small, light weight saw intended for very fine cuts.Irwin makes other heavier duty models for more aggressive cutting.

2: There is an adjustment period for those of us who learned to saw with conventional "cut on the push stroke" hand saws. This is a Japanese style "cut on the pull stroke" saw, and as such requires a slightly different technique. The advantage to "cut on the pull stroke" is that the blade can be made much thinner and more flexible, resulting in a finer cut. The disadvantage is that one must be careful when pushing the saw back for the next cutting stroke as the blade IS more flexible.

I contacted Amazon and we re-ordered to get it right, ten per box.

I recieved one unit.Amazon would not make good on their advertised price and send any more. They will hopefully/probably fix thier website to reflect quantity one.

Amazon would NOT make good on the quantity.

The slides are high quality, heavy and nicely finished.Perhaps some people think they are worth $20 each, but that seems really high for a cabinet slide-pull handle, even a good quality one.Expect only one unit at $20 each and be happy with that or look for less expensive slide handles.

I rated the slide on the quality of the unit, not on value, not on Amazon service.

Delta Faucet 473-SS-DST Saxony Single Handle Kitchen Pullout Faucet With Diamond Seal Valve, Stainless Review

I bought this faucet in late 2005.I chose it because I wanted a pull-out that was Oil Rubbed Bronze, with a low profile.It is easy to use, easy to switch between stream and spray, with one hand, as one reviewer noted.I have had to call the plumber who installed it back for repairs THREE times in 4 years!That is way too much!First, the thing started leaking all over the back of the sink area and into the cabinet underneath.Turned out to be a cheap plastic part (in an expensive faucet!) that has to be tightened (carefully!) every now and then. Next, the hose fell out of the handle, spraying very hot water all over my arms and face.The plumber could not fix it, and had to order a new hose, costing me several hundred dollars for parts and labor.The old hose was metal, and heavy.It went back into the spout easily, due to its weight and the nice weight attached to it.The new hose is CHEAP plastic.Not only is it hard to pull out and replace in the spout, but it also kinks very easily.We have to hold the hose taught with one hand and spray with the other hand.NO GOOD!Now, it's dripping like crazy.We have to position the handle carefully to avoid the drips, but even now that is not working very well.The plumber told me I need a new cartridge.I went online to check it out and it turns out that this faucet has been discontinued.Not even sure what parts are available any more.SO... DO NOT BUY THIS FAUCET!I have probably spent $1000 on this faucet, parts, and labor over the past 4 years.Not worth it!

I've used this a few times over the past 2 years.I live in an area which has lots of trees and can be overrun with bugs in the summertime.All types too, spiders, ants, carpet beetles etc.It does a really good job when I spray the outside of the house around the doors and the windows and in the overhangs where spiders like to camp.Works well around outside lighting as well, seems to do a really nice job if applied before the bugs get there.Spraying inside the house along works great as well for keeping bugs at bay, especially carpet beetles.

Only downsides are that this does not kill silverfish, and some types of spiders appear unaffected by it.It says on the package that it takes care of them but my basement still has a problem even after repeated uses of the product.Which is too bad because these things are monsters and I hate them with a passion, still haven't found a product that can effectively kill them.The other downside, as someone else pointed out, there is a lingering smell for a day or two after application.It's not terrible it's just not pleasant.

Overall for the price I'd say it's a good product.The application takes a little while if you have a large or tall house but if you hate bugs and don't want to spend the hundreds of bucks for exterminator service this is a good product which will save you money and keep a lot of the bugs away.

The pull out spout is a feature that I have found to be a really good one.You can fill a pot sitting on the counter next to the sink, fill a mop bucket on the floor in front of the sink, rinse a large vessel by directing the flow of the nozzle around the vessel rather than trying to fit it under a spout and move it around.However, after three years, the push button between stream and spray just produces a half and half mixture of stream and spray.Also, the strainer has to be cleaned frequently (a fairly easy job) because flakes of black stuff stop it up.I think it is from the inside of the pull out hose.This is the only faucet in the house where I find this black stuff.The main valve seems to be holding up well so far - no leaks to outside, no drips, and smooth operation.

I've got Amerock knobs & pulls throughout my home. Great quality. Couldn't be happier with their products.

After testing a number of Amerock ORB knobs, we settled on these for the kitchen & bath cabinets which are maple with a medium reddish brown stain ("autumn"). Ultimately we chose this knob because of the simplicity & feel -- it's substantial, feels like quality, and fits wonderfully between fingers. However, after 2 years of use I can say that I'm even more pleased with its aesthetics. The ORB is a living finish that has worn on the edges to reveal a copper tone. After about 2 years of use, we will rotate these around so that one doesn't get more "rub" than another. It looks great! No to mention that the price was right ... so much less here than anywhere else at anytime. Even at its current price, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment -- I'd buy these again.

Amerock BP19012-SS 192mm Stainless Steel Bar Pull Review

I only received one part.After complaining to Amazon I was told that it was not Amazon's problem and that I would have to deal with the supplier.The supplier informed that they have previously notified Amazon of the description error but they failed to correct it.I just checked the Amazon web site and the 4-pk is STILL offered so I am sure that other customers will be victims like me and suffer. The vendor that shipped the part was nice enough to fully refund me but I blame Amazon for negligence regarding this problem.I hope that they will eventually correct their catalog offering.

Irwin #MPS1714 12" Carpenter Pull Saw Review

I have used every kind of saw there is, including numerous expensive Japanese pull-saws. This inexpensive saw has an ergonomic handle that is much better than traditional Japanese style handles. The teeth are accurately cut and very sharp. They are also very hard so the edge is incredibly durable. When my first blade finally wears out, it's nice to know you can buy spare blades, which install in two-seconds with the push of a button. Judging from the amount of work I've done with this thing already, it could take a while to wear out the blade. I have cut plywood, mahogany and hard white Oak with it... No problems! Leaves a very smooth edge and it's easy to saw straight. Highly recommended! I have even cut large dovetails and tenons with it.

Your sink probably has 3 or 4 holes. It seems obvious that the handle belongs on the right as shown. Wrong. It works better with the handle on the left because you are likely using your right hand to hold what you are filling or rinsing. Put your soap dispenser on the right.

A moderately heavy brass collar slides on the sprayer hose to cause the sprayer to stay retracted. Make sure you don't have shutoff valves or other plumbing where it can interfere.

Very good quality. Maximum flow rate is adjustable.

Whiteside - WS6045 - 1 1/4" Window Sill Edge / Finger Pull Review

This router bit was perfect for making window sills out of 1x5s.You need to carefully set the height to cover the 3/4 inch thickness of the board, but it will work.It arrived quickly and was securely packed.

A router table with fence is essential, as well as featherboards to force the board flat against the table top and the fence.

I also found out that I needed to make long infeed and outfeed extensions for my router table when routing the edge of 8 foot long boards, otherwise the boards would lift off of the bit at the start and end of each cut.
